about
I’ve never been particularly good at writing about myself, but suppose I should set something down for the record.
Who and where I am
Well firstly, my name is Sean. I live in Wales (in the UK) with my fiancee Kim, and our pet dog Toby. we’re living in a small town called Tredegar at the moment where the weather is currently , and the temperature here is about . Tredegar is a fairly quiet place: we moved here in October 2008, and will be staying at least a year, depending on the job market.
Kim and I both left college Mid-2008, and have been on the hunt for jobs ever since. I’m writing this at the start of 2009, and with the economic troubles currently plaguing the world, we’re applying and hoping for the best.
What I do meantime
Of course, looking for work all day is impractical. I used to do a lot of programming and such like at college, and like to keep my hand in sometimes now. my days are filled with playing with (and attempting to train) the puppy, keeping the house in one piece, and looking for jobs, reading good books, and trying to keep active.
This is something of a temporary state, because either a job will materialise in the next few months or I will start studying for what will probably turn out to be a computer science degree. I probably won’t get around to updating this “about” page for a while, but I use Twitter and you’re more than welcome to follow or talk to me there.
The purpose of this site
Everyone has a website these days; mine has been through more facelifts than a geriatric Miss America contestant. I’d settled on using a blog format for my site months ago, but had never quite found the right software.
Now, I can only hope that I have done that. Proudly powered by WordPress indeed, this site should be accessible, usable by everyone and let me put things in nice, neat categories for you to choose your fare. Hopefully I can add content (not overly rapidly, but not too slowly either) in a variety of categories - I will write some about the books I read, for instance; and if I happen to program up anything remotely useful, can post that here too.
Eventually, this site could become quite useful (if not only to me as a source of amusement). so I should welcome you heartily, thank you for visiting, and wish you a pleasant day.
